The Gallery Art Hotel is steps from anything you’ll want to see in Florence. It is two minutes from three gelato shops, five minutes from the Uffizi. It is, as its name indicates, a hotel gallery of revolving artwork. When we stayed, it was a punch neon photography exhibit of women in candy colored fashions. We loved the room service breakfast, with the best cappuccino and croissant in the city, and we loved waking up to the sound of carts rolling on cobblestone streets as we imagine was routine.

Art that melts your guidebook, devastatingly good food, and gelato on every street corner are the reasons we keep coming back. We love the cappuccinos, so thick they qualify as breakfast, the buzz of Vespas, and the narrow streets tucked under stone arches. We love la Giostra with their generous platters of prosciutto and melon, complimentary antipasto, and a steak in balsamic reduction that would turn a vegetarian. We love this city smothered in art with the intensity of a hundred Londons and can't wait to crawl back.
