The Andaz Liverpool is so good you’ll never lower your expectations for a chain hotel again. We were greeted with crisp white wine and a light-filled, gracious atmosphere that has set a new standard for East London. The Andaz is dramatically modern yet easy to love, with a complimentary minibar featuring juices, fizzy beverages, and a mix of salty and sweet snacks that are replenished daily. The room service is shockingly good, and we were lucky enough to order what can easily be described as the best room service spaghetti and meatballs we’ve ever had.

A brief walk from The Mondrian will land you at the sensational Tate Modern. A visit to the atrium alone is worth it, but the recent renovation completed in 2016 has gifted rooftop enthusiasts with a 360 degree viewing deck atop the new 10-storey Switch House building. Sure, come for the art, but you absolutely won't want to miss the view.
