We love the Maritime Hotel for its quaint portal windows and its ship-cabin rooms. They’re not huge, even by New York standards, but are immaculately designed and compact in utility (reading lights emerge from a shelf behind the bed). The one unsavory aspect that has yet to be matched is that a complimentary bottle of wine was delivered to our room _while_ we were in the shower. To hear the unlocking of our room while in a state of thorough vulnerability was a bit of a scare one shouldn’t have to pay to experience.
