The Four Seasons is a free association of tasteful, tranquil, luxury and our experience in SF was no different – except that we were throwing a hotel bar fundraiser for 50 of our instant best friends. As the last destination on our walking tour, we have vivid memories of the wonderful time we had…as well as a few pictures we’ve thought twice about posting.

With the dark wood paneling of a former bank building, the Clift Hotel's Redwood Room is the perfect place to grab an after-work drink (or throw an all-out birthday bash). The video portraits on the walls with faces that slowly blink or turn from side to side are reminiscent of the Haunted Mansion. As part of Ian Schrager's famed hotel group and more recently a pinnacle of the Morgans Hotel Group, the Clift Hotel is a notable venue for its boutique rustic luxury. From the fresh seasonal flowers to the towering Christmas tree and sparkling lights, the lobby provides the perfect setting for the beginning of the night or the end. One of the few bars in town with top-notch bar snacks, we’re addicted to the cheese puffs, a light and delicious crisp of Parmesan and cheddar.
