The Marriott SF is a hotel you can only hope to endure if you are attending a convention at nearby Moscone center. It is a tenement of a building, with as many hotel rooms as can fit a block-like structure extending to their penthouse lookout bar (which I missed – what energy I had was used in hiking to my room). Nothing is visibly wrong with this hotel, it’s just a bit impersonal and machine-like in its attendance of corporate housing needs.

With the dark wood paneling of a former bank building, the Clift Hotel's Redwood Room is the perfect place to grab an after-work drink (or throw an all-out birthday bash).
